Working Principle of Edible Oil Filter Press
Our edible oil filter presses are designed for clarifying mechanically expressed oil from oil-bearing seeds and nuts, such as soybeans, groundnuts, palm kernels, canola seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and mustard seeds.
The plates of the filter press are recessed to form a chamber when two plates are closed together. Each plate has a central hole for feeding the oil. Pyramids are formed on the plates to increase the filtering area for better filtration. Tailored filter cloth is placed over each plate and fastened at the center with cast iron nuts.
The liquid is pumped into the filter press and forced through the cloth, filling the chambers of the plates. The filtered oil exits the plates through petcocks located at the bottom outside of the press.
